RAILWAY GIS SOFTWARE FOR VEGETATION CONTROL

Wilderness utilizes a customized software application to help our customers to maintain accurate records of areas where herbicide treatments have been performed in conformance with railway and roadside vegetation management contracts.

As herbicide is applied, Wilderness records spray data using the on/off switches of our spray equipment modified with GPS capabilities. This data is then uploaded into a GIS database that maps the exact locations of what is being applied. This data can assist in determining future treatments while maintaining an accurate history of exactly what areas were treated in the past, what products were used and the volume of herbicides used.
